This summer has brought a global heat wave, with temperatures in the UK hitting a record high of 40 degrees Celsius, while in the United States, more than 20 states have issued excessive heat warnings. Climate change is a huge challenge for humanity; countries around the world are working towards achieving the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050! Delta since 2012 has completed nearly 1,300 successful projects worldwide, helping customers optimize energy management in areas from microgrids, low-carbon transportation, automation, to ICT infrastructure. In this issue's "Sustainability", we will share how Delta is able to build a low-carbon city, thereby lowering customers' operating costs and increasing their competitiveness.

Delta is constantly coming up with innovative and energy-saving solutions, and now branching out from an industrial brand to a commercial brand.  Hence the business units will invest more in integrating information communication technology into both hardware and software. Dr. TC. Chiueh, who joined Delta as the Head of the Delta Research Center (DRC) at the end of 2021, launched the DRC 2.0 initiative soon after taking office. The plan builds on the foundation DRC has established over the past few years and will further serve the eight business groups in developing new products and technologies. In the "IoT Smart Solutions" column, we will share the special interview with Dr. Chiueh in which he talks about the DRC 2.0 blueprint and his experiences at Delta.

Fostering a shared identity is the key to building a successful team. The Delta Human Resource Team has been working on building an employer brand one step at a time. In previous issues, we reported on campus recruitment events and corporate culture rebuilding. In this issue's "Employer Brand", we will be focusing on how the Delta (Thailand) Human Resource Team has improved "Employee Relations" by creating a multiple communication platform and system, leveraging community groups to understand to employees' concerns, and holding internal events to drive participation.

With the rapid growth of immersive experiences, permanent immersive exhibition spaces are starting to be developed. "Special Report" will take you to Taiwan's Taipei 101 and Japan's Kadokawa Musashino Museum to enjoy the digital modern works and the reinterpretation of art masterpieces performed by Delta's projection technology, which traverses time and space. Don't miss out!

"Brand Circle" will share a good news. After the film "Water with Life" won an award in 2019, two 8K environmental documentary films produced by Delta have once again been recognized by WorldFest Houston International Film Festival. The films "Life in the Coral Reefs" and "Swimming with Humpback Whales" won the gold award in the long- and medium-length documentary film category and the gold award in the short-length documentary film category, respectively. We will take you deep down into the colorful underwater world to experience its rich biodiversity!
