Hosted by the Delta-NTU Joint R&D Center, the annual research demo and exchange event concluded successfully. Delta Chairman and CEO Mr. Ping Cheng, along with several corporate R&D executives, attended the event to witness the year’s milestones alongside academic leaders, including National Taiwan University (NTU) Vice President Professor Liao Wanjiun and Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Professor Wu Tzong-Lin. More than just a showcase of knowledge, the exhibition served as a practical demonstration of a thriving "industry-academia ecosystem."

Over 200 guests, including Delta and NTU executives, professors, and students, attended the 2025 demo day to celebrate these collaborative milestones.
From laboratory to market: Quantifying R&D resilience
Since its inception in 2022, the Delta-NTU Joint R&D Center has expanded its collaborative reach from the initial College of EECS to a diverse range of academic fields, including the Colleges of Engineering, Science, Management, and Bio-Resources and Agriculture. This year’s exhibition featured over 20 joint research projects, covering Delta’s core business sectors such as Electric Vehicles (EVs), Power Electronics, AI, Robotics, and Sustainable Materials.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Ping Cheng encouraged the Center to continue driving its core value of accelerating the transformation of R&D results into market-competitive products. To date, the Center has successfully driven 60 joint research projects, filed 15 patent applications, and published over 40 papers in the international academic arena. Notably, several projects—including PCB Layout Automation and Piezoelectric Technology—are currently being integrated and productized by internal business units, marking the transition from theory to real-world application.
Collaborative showcases by NTU teams spark new ideas through expert exchanges with Delta personnel.
NTU Vice President Liao Wanjiun commended Delta’s unwavering commitment to innovation and academic collaboration, noting that the company invests more than 8% of its global annual revenue into R&D. By using innovation as a catalyst for sustainability and pursuing technical excellence, Delta and the academic community are co-creating the next generation of critical technology milestones, fulfilling their shared commitment to the prosperity of both industry and society.
