Text by DEJ 2023/10

The high-brightness projectors made by Delta were used in the "Ancient Mexico - Maya, Aztec, Teotihuacan" exhibition at the Heisei Gallery of the Tokyo National Museum in Japan. This exhibition focuses on the most representative civilizations of the Maya, Aztec, and Teotihuacan, showcasing ancient Mexican civilization's most treasured artifacts, handpicked from major museums throughout Mexico, and interspersing them with recent archaeological findings. The exhibition takes visitors on a journey into the world of ancient Mexico, allowing them to experience the depth and charm of its civilization through the presentation of universal beliefs in the gods and nature, as well as the unique worldview and aesthetic beauty nourished by diverse environments.  Currently, Mexico has up to 35 World Heritage Sites, with ancient urban cluster ruins being the most popular among them. During a period of over 3,000 years in history, from the 15th century BC to the 16th century AD, the region underwent Spanish invasion, and its people adjusted to the constantly changing surroundings, ultimately culminating in the formation of a unique civilization.

Mr. KENGO HUA, President of Delta Electronics (Japan), stated that "The projectors from Delta Japan are increasingly being used in various major exhibitions to create a captivating experience for visitors through the use of full-color imagery displayed. We sincerely wish this exhibition a great success and hope that more people will come to this event and immerse themselves in the ancient civilization of Mexico. "

The exhibition layout comprises three projection areas equipped with three E-Vision Laser 11000 4K-UHD projectors from Delta's Digital Projection. The total projected size across the three screens is around 350 inches. The imaging field is portrayed using high-resolution, high-brightness lenses that provide varied color rendition. The E-Vision Laser 11000 4K-UHD projector utilizes a laser source to project 11,000 lumens of precise and vivid light output consistently. This extends the lifespan of the projector by approximately 20,000 hours in comparison to traditional bulb-based projectors. In addition, it is possible to minimize maintenance costs and achieve long-term operation of the projectors. The contrast between light and dark in an image allows for accurate representation of its details, and its use in the arts and entertainment has been widely acclaimed.
