This year, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in Japan hosted the Henri Matisse: The Path to Color, the first large-scale Matisse retrospective in Japan in twenty years. The exhibition was held with the full cooperation of the Centre Pompidou, home to one of the world’s largest Matisse collections, featuring artworks including sculptures, drawings, prints, cut-outs, and The Rosary Chapel, which he designed in his later years. Matisse is the epitome of Fauvism, whose designs emphasized pure, vivid colors and strongly influenced 20th-century art.

The design of this church is simple and sophisticated, with stained glass between white walls.

The Matisse retrospective presents The Rosary Chapel with a projector, complemented with wooden chairs, allowing for a serene viewing while also experiencing the pristine beauty of the church. The image on the right is the real-life photograph of the church.

Designed to achieve both aesthetics and projection effect, a small space was carved out for the projector in the projection area during the set up. At that time, the small space was built with a simple steel frame that could bear the load of the projector and one to two adults. Therefore, special care had to be taken when setting up and adjusting 4K images. The success of such adoption once again proved the professionalism of the Japanese Delta team. Japan's NHK Promotion spoke highly of Delta's projectors and hopes to use them for all major exhibitions held by NHK in 2023. It is expected that five large-scale events will be held using Delta projectors. The Matisse exhibition is the first of a series of large-scale events.
