Delta presents a "Zero Carbon Community" at COMPUTEX 2022
Promoting sustainable transformation with technology
Text by BMD 2022/06
After two years, visitors are invited back to the physical exhibition at COMPUTEX 2022 with Delta. This year, Delta's exhibition is themed "Zero Carbon Community", showing smart building solution that features smart energy efficiency and health protection, the electric vehicle charging infrastructure designed based on community microgrids, and many other innovative and integrated products and services. The exhibit integrates with the new corporate identity and the design features water blue for intelligence and grass green for sustainability based on Delta's signature blue. The design echoes the concept of “Unceasing Innovation for a Better Living” for the progress of evolving from an industrial brand to a commercial brand. "Zero Carbon Community" is divided into seven sections, including Management Center, Healthcare Center, U-Office Co-Working Space, Auto Detailing Center, Microgrid, and Charging Courtyard. The overall design focuses on "responding to users' needs" to provide a healthier, more comfortable, and safer quality of life.

Upholding the spirit of human-centric and moving toward sustainability
Approaching the 51st year of Delta establishment, Mr. Cheng indicated at the press conference at the exhibition of COMPUTEX, "In recent years, Delta’s business scope has gradually been diversified. We actively develop smart buildings, energy infrastructure, electric vehicle onboard power electronics, powertrain system, and charging solutions, and demonstrate our achievements in bringing a more user-centric experience and value. It shows Delta's progress in evolving from an industrial brand to including commercial brands in the future with our smart energy solutions. We expect to provide customers with a healthier, more comfortable, and safer quality of life and create a human-centric sustainable city."
Delta’s CEO, Ping Cheng, attended Delta's press conference at COMPUTEX 2022 and shared Delta's evolution from an industrial brand to a commercial brand.

Shan-Shan Guo, Delta’s Chief Brand Officer, was invited by COMPUTEX to the forum and shared Delta's experiences in ESG with the concept of "building a green energy island with net-zero carbon emissions." By leveraging technology, Delta manages to realize sustainable operation. Facing the net-zero goal set for 2050, she also shared several international green building cases by Delta. For example, Delta helped rebuild Ming Chuan Elementary School located in Namaxia District, which is Asia's first LEED Zero Energy certified green campus, providing more innovative, cleaner, and more efficient solutions.

"Zero Carbon Community" features smart energy and a healthy and comfortable environment
Among the increasing innovative communities in our lives, some of the residential buildings are integrated with commercial uses, while others are equipped with elderly and children's healthcare centers. Delta's "Zero Carbon Community" builds the management center, healthcare center, and co-working space and provides charging services for electric vehicles in the community courtyard.

Walking into the exhibition area and visitors will see the dynamic exhibit with panoramic videos, displaying the community's management center integrated with Delta's smart building automation system and building information modeling technology to enhance the operational efficiency for the managers and realize smart management of the building. Also, the exhibition area is equipped with UV antibacterial products that adopt Care 222® technology to kill more than 80% of the Covid-19 virus to ensure a safe environment for the visitors. Vivotek smart face recognition devices are placed at every corner of the exhibition registration, leveraging smart surveillance technology to provide automatic access control, automatic checking in, and falling alerts. The access control, checking in, and falling alerts tailor-made for care centers could relieve the care takers' administrative burdens, improve the healthcare quality, and ensure the care recipients' safety. Other than that, the VR and AR technologies are used for the first time for the whole exhibition area to build the healthcare station scenario and provide an immersive experience.
The U-Office integrates Delta's IoT-based building automation solutions, including HVAC, lighting, and surveillance systems to improve energy efficiency.

Community microgrid and electric vehicle charging facility are used to realize low-carbon transportation
The microgrid is an essential part of energy infrastructure in a zero-carbon community. DeltaGrid charging management system integrates the renewable energy system, power conditioning system, and energy storage solutions to provide power for the community electric vehicles with microgrids in the exhibition. Also, the AC MAX charging point and DC Wallbox 50kW charging point are exhibited in the courtyard of the exhibition area. Other than electric vehicles, electric motorbike charging solutions and battery charging modules were also exhibited to showcase the comprehensive solution for electric vehicle power and a low-carbon life!

DeltaGrid's energy management system integrates renewable energy, power conditioning, and energy storage solutions and builds the community microgrids.

Due to the pandemic, an online exhibition is concurrently held with Delta's "online tour", allowing the audience to participate online at https://deltaww.pse.is/47swnj.
