Strengthening Delta's global talent network: Successful multi-city U.S. recruitment campaign

To support its continued global business growth, Delta is further expanding its international talent strategy. Building on its successful recruitment campaigns at top-tier East Coast universities in the United States since 2019, Delta's global talent acquisition team took a major leap forward in 2026. For the first time, the HQ team aligned recruitment efforts from the very early planning stages across six major regions in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Together, they hosted Delta-exclusive recruitment events across the United States, offering over 180 diverse opportunities in both R&D and non-technical fields. This collaborative milestone not only elevates cross-functional synergy but also lays a vital foundation for Delta’s global talent pipeline and sustainable future growth.

A new chapter in global collaborative recruitment

The year 2026 marks a significant milestone in Delta’s global talent expansion. For the first time, Taiwan headquarters brought together recruitment teams across six major regions—including Taiwan, China, India, Thailand, Europe, and the Americas—to drive a comprehensive U.S. talent acquisition project. The initiative specifically targeted current students and early-career talent in the U.S. (within three years of graduation), aligning candidates' project experience and strengths with career opportunities around the world.

Bringing together PMs, HR, marketing, operations, and local U.S. teams, this cross-time-zone and cross-cultural collaboration culminated in a series of Career Networking and Interview Events this past April across four key cities: Fremont, Los Angeles, Dallas, and Austin. During these events, senior executives delivered keynotes sharing industry trends and Delta's strategic positioning, while representatives from the six regions introduced local growth and open roles. Each region hosted an interactive booth where attendees could speak directly with recruiters to learn about local opportunities and potential career paths. To improve matching efficiency, the regional teams proactively engaged with candidates online and offline two months prior to the events. This enabled face-to-face interviews on-site and swift post-event follow-ups with hiring managers, significantly enhancing the candidate experience.

The venues buzzed with energy as candidates engaged with Delta's regional teams to explore global career opportunities.

Building meaningful connections that drive results

Unlike traditional recruitment centered primarily on job postings, this initiative focused on building meaningful connections with talent. By leveraging diverse channels across industry, government, and academia, Delta built strong relationships with local U.S. communities long before the events began. In academia, teams personally visited universities like the University of Texas at Dallas to meet with professors and students, cultivating long-term campus partnerships. In the industry space, Delta promoted the events directly at the IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (IEEE APEC)—the world's largest power electronics conference. Additionally, Delta partnered with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Offices (TECO) in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Houston to tap into local networks and precisely reach targeted talent pools.

Crucially, these connections continued to amplify during the events, creating a powerful multiplier effect. Externally, early attendees became organic 'brand ambassadors' after highly positive experiences, sharing their journeys with peers and expanding the reach of subsequent stops. Internally, local U.S. employees actively leveraged referral networks to introduce trusted peers and contacts. Together, these internal and external efforts expanded Delta's reach far beyond what a traditional recruitment event could achieve.

This meticulous preparation yielded exceptional results. Across the four cities, Delta offered over 180 positions across 40 distinct job categories, attracting more than 4,300 resumes. This strong interest led to more than 380 virtual interviews and 50 on-site interviews, with nearly 400 people attending the events. By the end of July, 45 outstanding candidates had accepted Delta's offers, with additional hiring decisions still underway. From broad outreach to successful hiring, this campaign perfectly demonstrated Delta's recruitment capability: building trust through relationships and driving matches through trust.

With over 100 attendees, the second recruitment event in Los Angeles was California's largest to date.

Employer branding: Global careers starting from the U.S.

For early-career talent, choosing an employer is about finding an environment where they can grow. Operating across four major domains—Power and Energy Management, Smart Manufacturing, Infrastructure, and Smart Mobility—and spanning sectors from electric vehicles and data centers to industrial automation, Delta offers more than just jobs; it offers a wide range of career paths. Consequently, these events deliberately broke the mold of traditional, localized hiring. By presenting all six regional teams under one roof, candidates could directly compare two career trajectories: building a career in the U.S. versus exploring international career opportunities across Delta's global operations. This side-by-side presentation of global opportunities offered an experience that single-site recruitment simply cannot match. Underlying these career opportunities is Delta's long-term commitment to innovative R&D and net-zero sustainability, giving candidates not just a job, but a long-term career with purpose.

Wherever talent is, Delta is there to create opportunities and empower careers, bringing to life its global talent strategy: "Where talent is, Delta is."
