In mid-November, Sharm El-Sheikh of Egypt was catapulted into the spotlight as the city hosted more than 40,000 opinion leaders for the 27th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), and Delta representatives were among them. This was Delta’s 15th consecutive year attending the COP. This year, not only is Delta the sole Taiwanese company to host a side event in the Blue Zone, we were also the only Taiwanese organization to participate in the Action Hub. This issue’s "Delta Green Life" will take you directly to the site of COP27, where you can learn more about the important resolutions the participant countries reached. You will also see how the Delta team actively advocated for coral restoration and shared its response to the challenges of power grid resilience during energy transition through its own energy storage cases.

Countries are working on reducing their carbon emissions to combat extreme climate change. Delta has long been investing in green buildings to promote sustainability by reducing energy consumption in buildings. This October, Delta inaugurated a new EMEA office building in Helmond, the Netherlands. The building has been awarded a LEED Gold green building certificate by the U.S. Green Building Council, becoming Delta's 32nd green building. "Special Report" will take you on a tour to see how the new office building integrates Delta's products and solutions into this key hub for EMEA.

Delta has been in the business of solar power, charging, and energy storage for more than a decade, providing practical solutions in low-carbon transformation applications for use in sustainable cities. At Energy Taiwan 2022, Delta showcased a large-scale display of the DeltaGrid® energy management platform for the first time, along with its applications for factories and offices. In low-carbon transportation, Delta provided more than 1.5 million EV chargers worldwide and has established close long-term relationships with its partners. Recently, Delta's ultra fast EV chargers won the approval of France's Renault Group, supporting development of the new Renault electric car. You'll find all this and more in this issue.

Near the end of the year, we are happy to learn that Delta won numerous awards. These include the Best Taiwan Global Brands, which once again selected Delta as one of the top 25 international Taiwanese brands with a continuous growth value of US$426 million, an increase of 8%. Delta was also selected for the HRoot 2022 Best Employer in Greater China, recognizing Delta as a great brand to work for. Don't miss the exciting content!
