The solution to environmental issues requires experts from various fields! Delta has partnered with the Netherlands Trade and Investment Office and British Office Taipei individually since 2005 to sponsor students in overseas graduate studies. This year’s Delta Environmental Scholarship Awards Ceremony was held on July 12. Five master's students and two professors were awarded with the scholarship and will be heading to the Netherlands, UK, and US for long-term studies or short-term research programs. Their majors cover energy, urban planning, corporate sustainability, sustainable policies, marine law, circular economy, and other fields.

During the ceremony, Delta Foundation Chairperson Bruce Cheng personally encouraged the winners to utilize their studies and find solutions to climate change. For the past ten years, the Delta Environmental Scholarship has issued scholarships in support to over a hundred master’s and PhD graduates, who have returned to Taiwan to continue to work in the industry, government, academia, and NGOs, and develop the low-carbon sustainability work. We hope the winners the best in their studies and that they will contribute their efforts to a low-carbon future in Taiwan.
