Text by Corporate Communications 2018/06

On April 18, Delta attended Techno-Frontier in Japan, during which the company unveiled its smart manufacturing with a blueprint of how it utilized its advanced automation and expertise to flexibly implement standardization, small-volume large-variety production, and customization, in which a new integrated robotic production line aimed for demands of the Japanese market. The display is a collaboration of various robots in combination with Delta's smart servo system and robot controller to enable automatic alignment of conveyor belts. Delta also expanded its integration of photovoltaic inverters, battery storage, energy management systems, and charging and management technologies for electric vehicles (EV). The company applied its experience in operating solar power plants in Japan to introduce energy infrastructure solutions targeting fast-growing EV charging grid applications.

Chief Brand Officer, Ms. Shan-Shan Guo, said that Delta continues to focus on the two major trends of smart manufacturing and sustainable cities, and it is committed to developing innovative energy-saving technologies to build IoT-based automation and infrastructure solutions for customers. With its advanced automation technologies and years of production expertise, Delta has created smart manufacturing modes across the factories, the production processes, and the equipment. Starting from its own factories, Delta has completed a smart manufacturing demonstration line that largely reduces manpower. For energy conservation and sustainability in cities, Delta offers solutions for a low-carbon city such as green buildings, EV charging, and intelligent lighting. At Techno-Frontier this year, we demonstrate our automation applications and energy infrastructure solutions as a practical example.

Mr. C.H. Ko, Executive Director of Delta Electronics Japan, stressed that Delta's long-term commitment to innovative and energy-efficient products and solutions as well as quality services for the Japanese market is widely recognized by customers in our three major business areas: power electronics, automation, and infrastructure.
