Delta was recently honored to be awarded a place in Automation World magazine’s 2017 First Team list in two major categories – Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). January 2018, Automation World magazine announced the First Team category leaders for the 2017 “Leadership in utomation Program”. Over two dozen categories are featured in the competition, where industry automation professionals were invited to vote for their favored automation vendors in unaided-recall surveys. This is significant because respondents were not swayed by choosing from names on a list, rather, respondents were asked to write-in the brands they consider leaders within each category. 

Automation Worlds Leadership in Automation Program features categories that represent a wide variety of automation technologies, software, and products in use by today’s manufacturing professionals across discrete, batch and continuous process manufacturing industries. The industry wide community of survey participants vote for best-in-class product innovation and excellence in customer service – this is a clear indicator that Delta is being independently recognized for being a contributor to the advancement in automation within the industrial market space. 

In 2016, Delta first earned its spot as a recognized leader in the VFD category. According to the “2017 IHS MarkitTM” report, Delta is among the top 10 low-voltage drive suppliers in the world by reported revenue. These two data points alone highlight Delta’s achievement as a major provider for Variable Frequency Drives globally, and is being recognized in local markets within Americas. This year Delta was honored as a leader in both VFD and PLC categories, further expanding Delta’s product technology and organizational service capacity in the industrial automation space.
