Delta showcases at the China International Import Expo: creation of New Quality Smart Manufacturing for a sustainable future

Delta is showcasing at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai from November 5th to 10th. At this year, Delta presented its brand value proposition under the theme of 'Smart IoT, Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, and Value Co-creation', showcasing various products and solutions for implementing new quality smart manufacturing, as well as its strategy centering on sustainable development. Through demonstrations of the company's capabilities in new quality smart manufacturing, new energy transportation, and communications infrastructure, Delta effectively combined operational performance with sustainable development goals, creating value for others and building a better future.

Jesse Chou, Delta's Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer, emphasized that Delta’s mission of “To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow” aligns with the green development foundation of new quality productivity and encompasses both “innovation” and “excellence” aspects of new quality. In particular, Delta continues to expand its R&D investments, dedicating at least 8% of its annual group revenue to innovative R&D, while actively recruiting high-level R&D talent to support talent cultivation. In terms of excellence, Delta practices smart manufacturing, increasing the automation level of its production lines to 65% in 2023. The smart production lines achieved an 85% higher capacity than traditional lines, and per capita direct labor productivity increased three to five times. On the other hand, Delta has long been focused on climate change and carbon reduction trends, actively responding to dual carbon goals. In 2023, the company's total Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions decreased by 39% compared to the base year, achieving SBT (Science Based Targets) net-zero interim goals for two consecutive years. Furthermore, Delta has set a long-term strategic goal of achieving Net Zero across all global operations by 2050, and has committed to reducing Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 90% by 2030 compared to 2021 levels. In early 2024, Delta was recognized as a "pacesetter" enterprise in China's industrial carbon peaking by the China Federation of Industrial Economics, acknowledging the company's achievements in autonomous carbon reduction, energy transition, and production efficiency improvement. Through participation in CIIE as a crucial hub and platform, Delta aims to showcase innovative technologies, products, and solutions, while sharing sustainable development achievements.

Howard Kung, General Manager of Delta Greentech China (DGC), stated that global industrial structures are currently undergoing deep adjustments, and development trends such as energy transition, digitalization, and AI transformation have become both challenges and opportunities that businesses must face. He also thanked the CIIE for providing a platform for international technology and trade exchanges for enterprises. As an international company providing professional technology and solutions in fields such as power supplies, data centers, industrial automation, green buildings, and“Smart Renewable EV Charging Solution”systems, Delta has been deeply rooted in the Chinese market for over 30 years. Moreover, its highly efficient and energy-saving solutions have successfully penetrated numerous vertical industries. At this year’s CIIE, Delta showcased its achievements in smart manufacturing, smart buildings, AI data centers, sustainable development, and collaborative growth with partners through three main areas: Smart IoT, Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, and Value Co-Creation. During CIIE, in addition to showcasing innovative technologies and green development concepts, Delta also actively strengthened its connections with the government, media, and various industries, greeting leaders and clients from various national units, including the Ministry of Commerce, the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, and the cities of Shanghai and Chongqing. By expanding and deepening connections with all sectors, further enhancing innovative cooperation and mutual benefits, Delta aims to seize development opportunities in the new era and embrace a sustainable future.
