Delta is showcasing at the 2024 China International Industry Fair (CIIF) held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai under the theme “New Quality Smart Manufacturing for a Zero-Carbon Future.” At this year’s CIIF, Delta's booth designed with immersive scenarios, features areas such as the “Zero-Carbon Factory,” “Smart Industrial Buildings,” “Factory Microgrids,” and the “AI Data Center,” highlighting solutions like smart manufacturing systems integrated with in-house developed intelligent machinery, a visual command center, and a manufacturing execution system. Additionally, Delta’s 3D zero-carbon digital management platform, which integrates IT (Information Technology Layer) and OT (Operational Technology Layer) and is equipped with virtual simulation, digital twin, and AI technologies, as well as green production solutions encompassing energy infrastructure and data center infrastructure, are displayed. These demonstrate Delta’s commitment to leveraging its core power electronics technology and advanced energy-saving technologies to actively support the nation’s new quality productivity goals.

Delta's Chief Brand Officer, Shan-Shan Guo, stated that Delta’s mission of “To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow” aligns with the green development foundation of new quality productivity and encompasses both “innovation” and “excellence” aspects of new quality. In terms of innovation, Delta not only continues to expand its R&D centers in China and actively recruits high-end R&D talents but also supports talent cultivation in related fields through initiatives like the “Delta Power Electronics Science and Education Development Program” and the “Delta Scholar Program” since 2000, promoting the development of new power systems. In terms of excellence, Delta practices smart manufacturing, increasing the automation level of its production lines to 65% in 2023. The smart production lines achieved an 85% higher capacity than traditional lines, and per capita direct labor productivity increased three to five times. The exhibition concept of Delta's booth at this year's CIIF is to showcase Delta's commitment to implementing new quality productivity through its own green productivity, by applying scenarios such as smart manufacturing and zero-carbon factories.

Delta's Chief Sustainability Officer and Spokesperson, Jesse Chou, stated that Delta is highly focused on global climate change and carbon reduction trends, actively responding to international initiatives. In 2021, Delta met its science-based target (SBT) of reducing carbon intensity by 56.6% by 2025 ahead of schedule and set a long-term strategy to achieve net-zero emissions at all global sites by 2050, with a commitment to reduce Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 90% compared to 2021 by 2030. Furthermore, Delta joined the RE100 initiative in 2021, pledging to achieve 100% renewable electricity for all global operations and production sites by 2030. As of 2023, the global target has reached 76%, with mainland China achieving 91.4%. In addition, Delta is promoting a circular economy to support zero-waste cities, committing to achieving a 100% waste conversion rate by 2025, moving towards zero landfill waste. Since piloting the implementation of UL2799 in 2019, it has been expanded to Delta’s 15 major production sites. Thanks to the collective efforts of all employees, the “2023 Delta ESG Report” has received a five-star rating for four consecutive years.

Delta's Chief Digital Officer of global manufacturing, Franky Wang, stated that Delta is dedicated to becoming a technically advanced, agile, and efficient manufacturer, providing customers with high-quality products and services. Delta has been implementing lean production, focused on value-adding, single-piece flow, and semi-automation, since 2001. In 2016, it introduced intelligent production with an emphasis on automation, smart logistics, and data utilization. Since 2023, Delta has been transitioning towards digital and AI operations in process, technology, and organizational transformation, striving for the future of Industry 4.0. With the progress of Delta’s smart manufacturing and digital transformation, the maximum labor productivity of various Delta production bases has increased by up to 139%, direct labor decreased by 59%, and manufacturing operating costs improved by 17%, demonstrating significant benefits.

The general manager of Delta Greentech (China), Kevin Tan, stated that in response to the “dual carbon” goals and the requirements of “new quality production,” DGC focuses on four major business areas: network communication infrastructure, industrial automation, building automation, and energy infrastructure. It offers specific solutions such as industrial and commercial smart microgrids, 3D zero-carbon digital management platforms, green plant management, smart manufacturing, and green data centers to help companies transform towards digitalization and low-carbon operations, achieving refined production, smart operations, and the successful creation of zero-carbon factories, contributing to sustainable development. At this year’s CIIF, Delta is actively responding to the trend of new quality productivity, leading by example with energy-saving products and factories, giving back to society, and using its technological advantages to empower the sustainable development of both the company and society.
