Building a new life with green energy: Delta makes debut at Taipei Auto Show 2024
Text by EISBG 2024/02

With the growing popularity of electric vehicles, the demand for charging is also increasing rapidly. Nevertheless, numerous electric vehicle (EV) owners are facing challenges due to inability to install charging piles in their communities or the lack of adequate and convenient charging services in public areas. Delta made the debut at 2024 Taipei Auto Show, where we showcased the latest EV charging solutions. Delta introduced the “independent electricity meter exclusively for EV charging” plan on-site to tackle community charging issues, and integrated it with the DeltaGrid® EVM management system to support community energy management. This offers building of highly efficient, secure, and flexible charging infrastructures, revitalizing the service for electric vehicle users.

Delta proposes a community charging solution that responds to Taipower’s “independent electricity meter exclusively for EV charging” by applying for a separate meter so that EV owners can enjoy preferential time tariffs, and is paired with district-wide planning for trunking to avoid the clutter and safety concerns caused by households drawing their own power, and to ensure the flexibility of installing charging piles in the future. DeltaGrid® EVM management system assists in community energy management by providing dynamic power allocation with regulated charging and scheduling settings to ensure that power is not overloaded, as well as prioritizing charging during low-priced periods to satisfy community power management and create a secure charging environment. At the same time, Delta has launched a cloud-based subscription plan that can be expanded on demand. At the initial stage, there is no need to spend a large amount of money on equipment and software. This approach also ensures that the software versions of the charging equipment and management system are kept up-to-date, enabling uninterrupted charging service. The exhibition attracted dozens of communities from the northern, central, and southern regions, all seeking consultation, demonstrating the urgent demand for charging services in the market.

In addition to community charging, Delta’s EV charging solutions are also widely used in commercial offices, factories, garages and various public places. The system can intelligently allocate charging for commercial and factory spaces to meet the charging demand of employees and visitors. Additionally, it offers direct current charging piles for commercial and industrial vehicles, ensuring a quick replenishment of required power, without affecting the efficiency of vehicle utilization. In parking lots and public places, the flexible installation of AC/DC charging stations and the DeltaGrid® EVM management system can realize remote cross-station real-time monitoring, energy regulation, membership management, intelligent scheduling, and multi-pricing management services to enhance the operational efficiency of the stations and meet various application scenario requirement applications.

The DeltaGrid® EVM system demonstrated on site has incorporated a new UI design developed in conjunction with the Brand Management Division, making it easier for users to understand the system at a glance.
