The 2020-2022 Delta Environmental Law Forum was conducted online.

Having been keeping a watchful eye on the earth’s environment and climate change for many years, Delta recognized the importance of establishing environmental rule of law to sustainable development as early as a decade ago. Since 2011, Delta has initiated the Delta Environmental Law Scholars Program and the Delta Environmental Law Education Promotion Program aimed at supporting the development of environmental resources and energy law disciplines at eight key universities, including Tsinghua University in China. Over the past 10 years, these programs have provided support to more than 400 faculty members and students in 25 universities while experts and scholars have offered constructive feedback and advice on environmental issues, thus gaining recognition from the environmental law community.

According to Mr. Bruce Cheng, Delta’s founder and honorary chairman, we must take immediate actions as the environmental impact of global warming has severely affected the survival and development of mankind. Therefore, Delta is committed to improving energy conversion efficiency with power electronics as its core technology while saving energy and reducing carbon emissions from three aspects: products, factories, and green buildings. From 2010 to 2021, Delta’s high-efficiency power supply products have helped customers around the world save 35.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, equivalent to a reduction of 19.01 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, thus playing its part in mitigating global warming and adapting to climate change with concrete actions. As environmental law is a discipline of great importance to the well-being and future development of the people, Delta has showed long-standing support for environmental law programs for more than a decade, in hopes of nurturing more outstanding environmental law students on an ongoing basis and making concerted efforts to address environmental issues and promote the establishment of environmental rule of law.
