The release of the “CSR performance indicators of Chinese Corporations” was announced at the 13th “Blue Book of Corporate Social Responsibility Conference and China ESG Forum Winter Summit 2021” held by the China Social Responsibility 100 Forum in Bejing. With its continuous innovation and breakthroughs in the field of sustainable development, as well as its outstanding performance in market responsibility, environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and responsible management, Delta has been ranked among the “Top Ten Foreign Enterprises” for the seventh consecutive year, and the top three in the electronics industry for two consecutive years. Delta’ s ESG management practices were selected as an outstanding case in the first “ESG Fundamentals Guidebook,” which was introduced at the conference. Delta was also awarded the “Green Award” for the second consecutive year for its significant achievements in product energy saving, production network energy-saving, and green building energy saving.

Mr. JP Wang, Chairman of Delta’ s China Sustainable Development Committee, said Delta celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. In line with its mission of “Environment Protection, Energy Conservation, & Love the Earth,” Delta has been saving energy and reducing emissions for its global customers with its core technology of power electronics. Delta’ s global revenue, to date, has reached US$ 9.6 billion and has 80,000 employees. From 2010 to 2020, Delta’ s high-efficiency power products have helped customers and clients save 33.5 billion kWh of electricity, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 17.8 million tons.

Today, Delta has four major production locations, more than 80 operating sites, and 40,000 employees in China, providing power management and thermal solutions to customers. In line with the current trend of economic development, Delta continues to strengthen its industrial deployment. It had already invested US$ 50 million in the expansion of its Chenzhou plant. Also, it announced the construction of its first western production base in Chongqing, which will also become Delta’ s fifth production base in China. This new base boosts local employment, accelerates the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, and promotes high-quality economic development.

At the social level, Delta has built a systematic talent cultivation and development system to create a good living and working environment for its employees and grow together. Delta won the “Management Excellence Award” of the 2021 Harvard Business Review. On the other hand, Delta helps achieve “common prosperity” by supporting various social welfare projects in education, technology, environmental protection, and rural development. As of 2021, Delta has funded 302 electrical and electronic research projects and awarded 1,704 outstanding graduate students scholarships.
