Building intelligent, energy-efficient living spaces with an IoT framework
The three-day 2024 AHR Expo in Chicago, USA, showcased Delta's integration of a new brand identity. Delta presented a unique showcase at the AHR Expo 2024 featuring three building venues — commercial, industrial, and residential. The three venues seamlessly integrate building control, indoor air quality (IAQ), building energy management, surveillance, lighting, and industrial automation solutions to enable smarter facility management and monitoring, higher energy savings, as well as safer and more comfortable building environments.
The uniquely broad range of our Solutions showcase made the Delta booth a popular destination for hundreds of visitors during AHR Expo 2024.
These solutions were integral for Delta’s Americas Region headquarters green building to become Silicon Valley’s second-ever facility, and first in the city of Fremont, California to attain LEED Zero Energy certification last year. A key highlight at the show was Delta’s energy management solution for net-zero energy building performance, based on VTScada, the industry’s most powerful SCADA system. The VTScada integrates with various products, allowing the real synergy to emerge. This integration includes subsystems like the Energy Management System (EMS), transforming the EMS into a centralized and visualized intelligence hub. Delta’s IABG solutions are a synergy of products that converge to offer a comprehensive monitoring, management, and control of energy across the industrial spectrum to enhance energy efficiency. This empowers facility management teams to drive lower energy consumption, achieving savings of up to 20% in energy and contributing to the pursuit of net-zero energy usage, fostering a more sustainable future.
Visitors expressed strong interest in Delta’s VTScada SCADA system and the Delta Energy Management System installed at our Fremont LEED Zero Energy green building.
Bill Y.C. Lo, general manager of Delta’s Building Automation Business Group, said, “As we unveil our latest innovations at AHR Expo 2024, Delta is proud to be at the forefront of driving sustainable change in the realm of smart buildings. Our smart energy-efficient solutions reflect our commitment to creating environments that not only enhance efficiency and safety, but also contribute to the larger vision of smart cities and a net-zero future. By integrating industry-leading technologies across commercial, industrial, and residential settings, Delta is empowering users to embrace a new era of intelligent, eco-friendly living and working spaces.”
Commercial, industrial, residential zones reflect intelligent and healthy environments
In the commercial application zone, innovative technologies are combined to create a healthy working environment. The Intelligent Meeting Room Control (IMRC) Solution Pack is employed for smart conference rooms, utilizing an IoT-Architecture-Based solution to integrate HVAC, lighting, projectors, projection screens, electric curtains, IAQ monitors, and other IoT devices. With one-touch scenario switching, it provides a fully automated meeting room experience and meets future expansion needs. The Intelligent Meeting Room employs the LOYTEC LPAD-7 touchscreen panel to coordinate various devices, including air conditioning, lighting, motorized curtains, and others. It offers a variety of functionalities coupled with embedded Internet of Things infrastructure, paving the way for diverse smart building applications.
In this zone, a Smart Command Center is equipped with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven building management platform, ensuring the safety and well-being of occupants while optimizing energy efficiency to achieve sustainable development goals. Through the integration of Delta's online energy management solution (Delta Energy Online) and building control management platform (enteliWEB), all building facilities are interconnected, enabling data integration and the subsequent optimization of building energy efficiency. Moreover, by leveraging the VORTEX cloud monitoring service combined with AI technology and cloud subscription models, it delivers a flexible monitoring solution. Users have the freedom to choose from various surveillance camera models and licensing plans without the need to replace existing devices. This allows for easy enjoyment of remote control and one-stop management convenience.
Another highlight is the incorporation of IoT technology in LOYTEC controllers, which is further enhanced by the addition of Bluetooth™ mesh technology. This new feature not only increases the transparency and interoperability of building data, but also reduces installation costs. It aids LOYTEC in achieving a more intelligent building infrastructure.

The industrial application zone showcased an integrated range of industrial automation products aimed at achieving comprehensive monitoring, management, and control of energy. This solution enhances the performance and efficiency of HVACR systems within the industrial sector. Industrial buildings can seamlessly integrate Energy Management Systems (EMS) and other subsystems through the VTScada industrial graphical control system, offering a comprehensive monitoring solution. Energy Management Systems (EMS) serve as a centralized and visualized smart hub, contributing to potential energy savings of up to 20%. The on-site exhibition also featured the Human Machine Interface (HMI) DOP-100 series. With diverse communication protocols, customizable options, and an intuitive control interface, it facilitates decision-making for energy optimization. Additionally, Delta showcased the High-Speed Compressor Solution utilizing magnetic bearings, known for its high reliability and lower maintenance costs, and contributing to overall energy efficiency.
In the residential application zone, Delta Breez showcased two new products. The first product was the Breez Fresh ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator), redefining indoor air quality and energy efficiency for homes. With up to a 70% energy recovery rate, it features a 1-inch MERV13 filter to ensure optimal filtration performance. This provides homeowners with a space-saving and efficient solution. The second product was the Breez DC Energy-Saving Ceiling Fan, featuring an elegant curved design with slim blades. The fan's sleek lines and 120-degree rounded angles transform any space into a unique and comfortable retreat. The fan's slot-in blade design ensures easy and time-saving installation, providing homeowners with a hassle-free experience.
Strong interest for IAQ at AHR Expo 2024 also extended to Delta’s Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) systems.
