With a view to realizing China's "dual carbon" goal in response to consensus on global climate change, Delta and Baidu joined forces to launch the PingHu DC lithium battery system, a next-generation internet data center (IDC) power supply solution. (Note 1) The PingHu DC lithium battery system adopts a simple and reliable architecture and boasts a lifespan of up to 10 years while being environmentally friendly and pollution-free. The PingHu DC lithium battery system was officially launched at the 2021 Open Data Center Committee (ODCC) Summit.

Speaking at the launch event, Delta GreenTech China (DGC)'s MCIS Business Unit Director Mr. Cai Jie said that it is the social responsibility of each company to actively respond to the goal of peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality and be committed to promoting technological innovation in green and low-carbon fields. Jointly developed and launched in combination with Delta's professional power management technology and Baidu's extensive experience in cloud computing, the PingHu DC lithium battery system not only comprises power modules with high efficiency, but also boasts several advantages, including environmentally friendly and pollution-free, long lifespan, and low maintenance cost. The launch of this system will bring new breakthroughs to IDC power solutions while aiding the green and low-carbon development of data centers.
For the green and sustainable development of IDC, the PingHu DC lithium battery system innovatively adopts lithium iron phosphate batteries as its backup power configuration, which boasts a number of advantages, such as smaller in size, lighter, green and environmentally friendly, longer lifespan, and lower maintenance cost, over the previous lead-acid battery solution.
