With a high level of development in digital products such as smart phones and tablet PCs, the 3C industry is becoming more and more intelligent. As the output soars, the replacement time for products is shorter than before, which brings more new requirements to manufacturing. In the manufacturing process for 3C products such as notebooks, tablets and smart phones, there are many parts inside the outer casing of 3C products, which need to be glued by AB glue. It is undoubtedly the optimal choice to apply glue via machines in order to improve efficiency and maintain consistency in quality.

Different products have their own corresponding fixed glue path which are mathematically verified along with experimental test results meeting the requirements. Therefore, the dispensers indeed apply the AB glue evenly on the products following these path tracks. Delta's SCARA industrial robots can write motion programs according to the glue path to enable a point-to-point movement, while being able to withstand loading weight of the dispensing mechanism and complete automatic loading and unloading.

In actual tuning application, whenever some difficulties are encountered for the robot dispensing, the technical team would propose a solution immediately. For example, by reducing the accuracy of the position arrival, change in the end speed for the short line-folding robot would be reduced, with the glue evenly distributed. By individually adjusting the height of glue dispensing for the robot on the curved surface, the effect of the curved surface on the glue application would be eliminated. In addition, unlike the past, when the dispensing process requires manual loading and unloading, the Delta SCARA robotic arm features an added suction pad tool to enable automatic action of loading and unloading, thereby contributing to further improvement in efficiency.
