The ISO13485 standard is a European harmonized standard for Medical Device Quality Management Systems. This standard will boost Delta’s competencies in its current medical business in Europe and the USA and enhance its market expansion in emerging ASEAN markets. In addition, the ISO 13485 certification positions Delta to support the government’s Thailand 4.0 Policy target to make the country Asia’s medical hub that meets the needs of its aging population and attracts foreign patients for medical tourism. Thailand’s Office of Industrial Economics forecasts that demand for medical devices in Thailand will increase 9% every year.

Delta leverages its position as one of the industry leaders in Thailand and a responsible global citizen to boost development in Thailand’s high-tech medical devices industry. The ISO13485 certification aligns with Delta’s mission to drive innovation in products and solutions that bring benefits to society and prepares the company to meet growing business demand in global markets. The high industry standard aligns Delta’s medical business development roadmap to several of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) including good health and well-being, industry innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities and partnerships for the sustainability goals.
