Text by BASBD 2018/02

On December 13, Delta displayed their newest generation of full IP IoT building management and control platform at the Japan Build 2017 – The 2nd Smart Building EXPO. The platform is built on an automation server made by its subsidiary brand LOYTEC, providing smart management for lighting, security, and global building energy, and automatic room management in compliance with the latest building energy conservation regulations in Europe. It is compatible with more than ten wired/wireless communication protocols, and is equipped with powerful integration capacity. With digital control, cloud service, and big data analysis, it reduces building operation costs, creates a comfortable living space, and optimizes energy consumption. It is the perfect tool to connect systems, upgrading building management efficiency by adopting the idea of IoT.

Bill Lo, Delta’s Building Automation Business Group President, indicated that Delta has reinforced its software and hardware to expand its building solution: Internally, it keeps investing in cutting-edge technology research and development; externally, it executes strategic mergers and acquisitions. Delta’s subsidiary VIVOTEK, supplements the smart buildings and smart cities with its security solutions, completing the blueprint of power-conservation, health-keeping, and safe buildings which Delta has been working on for years.

At Japan Build 2017, Delta exhibited many new high performance automated building products, including the standard total lighting solution DALI 2.0, which offers higher compatibility and more additional functions in comparison with the existing DALI 1.0. Other Delta's remarkable products were also on display, such as the high-bay luminaire HBD series with industry-leading light effect up to 170 lm/W, the IoT- and cloud-based indoor environment solution UNO, and VIVOTEK’s security solutions.
