Delta continues to accelerate its smart green factory transformation by implementing an intelligent cooling solution at its Wellgrow plant, exemplifying its commitment to combining world-class manufacturing precision with sustainable operations.

Recognizing that HVAC and chiller systems often account for up to 50% of an industrial facility’s total energy consumption, Delta deployed its proprietary optimized control solution powered by VTScada. At the Wellgrow facility, maintaining exact temperature and humidity thresholds is essential to safeguarding sensitive electronic components and ensuring uncompromised production reliability.

Delta integrates equipment monitoring with VTScada to proactively prevent downtime.

Through VTScada, Delta consolidates chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and air handling units onto a single intuitive interface. This unified oversight gives facility engineers comprehensive real-time visibility, streamlining monitoring tasks, accelerating decision-making, and mitigating potential operational downtime.

The automated system dynamically modulates pump speeds, cooling-tower fans, and air handling units according to ambient temperatures, production loads, and indoor CO₂ sensor feedback. Paired with zone-by-zone smart metering, the platform tracks energy consumption patterns and immediately dispatches mobile alerts upon detecting irregularities, enabling engineering teams to address anomalies before energy loss occurs.

Delivering at least a 10% reduction in facility energy consumption, this deployment highlights how Delta tests and proves its advanced automation and energy-efficient solutions within its own operations before scaling them globally. The flexible architecture established at Wellgrow not only supports immediate environmental savings, but also lays a versatile foundation for Delta's long-term smart green factory roadmap and global net-zero commitments.
