The robotics industry stands at the starting point of a new wave of technological change. From Embodied AI and autonomous learning to collaboration between humans and robots, the integration of artificial intelligence and robotics is redefining future production, services, and daily life. To grasp this critical trend, the Delta Robotics Innovation Center (DRIC) hosted the inaugural DRIC Robotics Forum in August. Themed "Embodiment: Fueling the Embodied AI Revolution," the event gathered eleven top scholars and experts to outline the development blueprint for the next generation of smart robots across four major dimensions: perception, learning, manipulation, and collaboration.

Dr. Pei-Chun Lin, General Director of the Delta Robotics Innovation Center, emphasized the forum's focus on robotics research, technology blueprints, and industrial applications.

Exploring these four dimensions, the forum opened with "From Sensing to Cognition," where experts shared advanced breakthroughs in magnetic tactile sensing, spatial navigation, and triboelectric sensing. In the "From Imitation to Adaptation" session, scholars extensively explored AI reinforcement learning, diverse paradigms of large models, and the construction of autonomous learning systems.

For the "From Rigidity to Dexterity" manipulation segment, researchers showcased visual force control for micron-level insertion, automated adjustment for flexible wiring harnesses, and highly economical six-axis force sensors. They also engaged in extensive discussions on extremely short factory changeover times and practical implementation. Finally, under the vision of "From Tool to Partner," the discussion explored using XR and large language models to achieve intuitive intent understanding, aiming to build true collaborative partners with situational awareness and high fault tolerance tailored to onsite needs.

By gathering diverse perspectives and insights for the future, the DRIC Robotics Forum brought abundant innovative thinking and technological imagination to Delta. The forum serves not only as a platform for technical exchange but also as a starting point to spark future innovation. It helps DRIC continuously accumulate research and development capabilities for the future, injecting new momentum into the innovative breakthroughs of smart robotics technology and driving the next stage of industrial innovation.
