Text by Public Affairs Department 2026/04

Recently, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the 2025 list of Green Factories and Green Industrial Parks. Delta Electronics (Dongguan) Co., Ltd. was successfully selected as a national-level “Green Factory,” demonstrating authoritative recognition of Delta’s outstanding achievements in advancing new quality productive forces and promoting green, intelligent manufacturing, while setting a new benchmark for sustainable development in the industry. In 2025, the Dongguan site achieved 100% renewable electricity usage through energy-saving measures, procurement of green power, and renewable energy certificates. Compared to the 2021 baseline year, carbon emissions were reduced by 92.6%, marking significant progress toward Delta’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.

Mr. CH Jou, General Manager of Delta’s South China Region, stated that the Dongguan site actively responds to China’s dual-carbon goals and the development of new quality productive forces by implementing comprehensive energy-saving and carbon-reduction initiatives in both production and operations. In 2025, the site achieved 100% green electricity procurement. Through the installation of rooftop solar projects, total installed capacity has reached 10.8 MW, alongside a 9.792 MWh energy storage system. By leveraging Delta’s proprietary energy and carbon management system, the site has reduced annual carbon dioxide emissions by more than 388 tons. In addition, the Dongguan site has obtained UL 2799 Zero Waste to Landfill Platinum Certification, demonstrating its commitment to the circular economy. In recent years, the site has also actively promoted green transportation, with the proportion of fully electric vehicles in its fleet increasing by 16% over the past three years, aiming to reach 100% electrification by 2030.

Guided by its corporate mission of “To provide innovative, clean, and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow,” Delta not only develops its business but also emphasizes coexistence with the environment. Its energy-saving-focused strategy aligns closely with business development and has been extended globally. Since establishing a cross-regional Energy Management Committee in 2011, Delta’s global operations have implemented 3,693 energy-saving projects, saving 459.106 million kWh of electricity—equivalent to reducing approximately 350,640 tons of CO₂ emissions. In 2024, Delta’s manufacturing sites in mainland China carried out 177 energy-saving projects, achieving annual electricity savings of 21.27 million kWh. Previously, Delta’s Wujiang site was also recognized as a national Green Factory in 2019 and successfully established a “Five-Star Zero-Carbon Factory” in 2023. Its successful experience has since been replicated across multiple production sites, including Dongguan, demonstrating Delta’s leadership in applying its own technologies to enable green intelligent manufacturing and empower a sustainable value chain.
