The 17th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Annual Conference was held in Guangzhou, bringing together representatives from government, industry associations, enterprises, institutions, and universities to discuss key CSR topics and emerging trends. Leveraging its innovative CSR practices across economic, environmental, and social dimensions, Delta ranked 7th in the "China Corporate Social Responsibility Development Index (2024)" and was recognized as an “Outstanding Responsible Enterprise” for the sixth consecutive year. Launched in 2003, the ongoing “China Corporate Social Responsibility Survey” organized by the CSR Annual Conference monitors and evaluates corporate CSR performance. The survey spanned six months, covering 620 companies across key sectors including manufacturing and production, services, new energy, automotive, finance, and internet technology.
At the same time, Delta's internal carbon pricing mechanism was recognized as a “Responsible Practice of the Year,” serving as a reference for Chinese enterprises in fulfilling their social responsibilities. In 2024, Delta invested US$21 million through its internal carbon pricing mechanism to support various carbon reduction projects and encourage low-carbon innovation. Compared with the 2021 baseline year, Delta's global Scope 1 and Scope 2 (market-based) carbon emissions were reduced by 53.6% in 2024, achieving the interim targets of its Science Based Targets (SBTs) for three consecutive years. The share of renewable electricity in its global operations rose to 84%, while its operations in mainland China reached as high as 96%. These concrete actions mark steady progress toward net-zero and contribute to the realization of China's dual-carbon goals.
Delta not only continues to reduce carbon emissions within its own operations, but also works hand in hand with value chain partners to drive low-carbon transformation. Through ESG training programs, Delta guides suppliers in conducting carbon inventories and shares energy-saving best practices to support carbon reduction across the supply chain. In 2024, Delta assisted 11 supply chain partners with equipment upgrades, process optimization, and the implementation of energy-saving and low-carbon monitoring systems, introducing the DeltaGrid® CEM Carbon Emission Management System and the VTScada Energy Management System. Recently, in the 2024 Supplier Engagement Rating announced by CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), Delta received an “A” grade, the highest level of “Supplier Engagement Leader.” This marks the eighth consecutive year that Delta has received this recognition, underscoring Delta's achievements in driving decarbonization throughout its value chain.Delta wins dual honors as “2024 Outstanding Responsible Enterprise” and “2025 Responsible Practice of the Year” for its internal carbon pricing mechanism.
