Recently, the Best AI Awards, organized by the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, held its final selection and award ceremony at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. The event recognized outstanding technological applications demonstrating high innovation and industrial value in fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor design, and digital transformation. Delta Research Center(DRC) had three technologies shortlisted for the finals and ultimately received one Silver Award and one Honorable Mention, underscoring the team's strong capabilities in core AI technologies and application-driven innovation.
Among the award-winning technologies, the DIVA (DNN Inference Video Analysis Operating System) middleware received the Silver Award in the IC Design category. Specifically developed for AI vision models, DIVA addresses common challenges such as performance instability and resource inefficiency encountered during cross-platform deployment of traditional models. Through flexible modular design and inference optimization strategies, DIVA enhances GPU resource utilization and reduces development and maintenance costs. It has been successfully implemented and validated in smart transportation and smart manufacturing applications, demonstrating strong potential for real-world deployment.
The DRC team at the 2025 Smart Innovation Awards finals, honored with the Silver Award in the IC Design category and an Honorable Mention in the AI Application category—celebrating the debut of their innovative achievements on the industry stage.
Also drawing significant attention was the "AI Rehab Coach" technology, which received an Honorable Mention in the AI Application category. This solution integrates posture tracking algorithms with real-time sensor feedback to enable remote motion guidance and error detection. Its applications span across smart fitness, workplace safety, and home rehabilitation, showcasing Delta’s cross-disciplinary integration capabilities and the versatility of its AI research and development.
Delta’s self-developed DIVA visual middleware and AI Rehab Coach Solution showcased on-site, receiving high praise from the judges for their technological excellence.
In addition, Delta’s enterprise-level knowledge management system, CHEK, was shortlisted as a finalist. Although it did not receive an award, the system integrates internal technical documents, project histories, and knowledge graphs, serving as a core enabler for digital transformation and intelligent management. The judging panel highly commended its information architecture and practical implementation strategy.
This year’s Best AI Awards attracted over 1,253 participating teams, with only 93 awards ultimately presented to finalists selected from 233 shortlisted teams, underscoring the highly competitive nature of the event. Standing out among numerous prominent enterprises and R&D institutions not only affirms Delta’s strategic direction in technology development but also highlights the DRC’s strong capabilities in AI and systems integration.
Looking ahead, the DRC will continue to deepen its AI research and enhance its technology translation capabilities, delivering more efficient and sustainable innovative solutions to the industry.
Collaborating as a team and leveraging their domain knowledge, the partners transformed innovative ideas into AI solutions with real industrial value.
