This year, Delta was invited for the fourth time by the Xin Hua Education Foundation to participate in the Pearl University Students Winter Camp, dedicating efforts to helping 190 college students expand their industry perspectives and enhance their professional skills. Upholding the philosophy that "teaching someone to fish is better than giving them fish," Delta has supported the pearl student community for 16 years. In addition to providing three years of academic and living assistance to high-achieving students from underprivileged backgrounds—helping them pursue university education—Delta remains committed to guiding them through the transition from school to the workplace by sharing industry insights and job-seeking strategies.
At the Pearl University Students Winter Camp, 20 participants visited the Wujiang plant and took a group photo with mentors.
To help students adapt to workplace challenges early on, Delta’s Philanthropic Affairs Department, in collaboration with the HR team from the Wujiang plant, played an active role in the camp. They traveled to the Pearl Home in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, to host a workshop on "Employment Trend Analysis," offering insights into the manufacturing industry and corporate hiring standards. The team also conducted mock recruitment sessions, provided resume and interview coaching, and successfully recruited 20 students specializing in electrical engineering, mechanical design and manufacturing, automation, and software engineering into Delta’s program. Under the guidance of Xin Hua Education Foundation Secretary-General Tang Yunpeng, students visited Delta’s Wujiang plant for a firsthand look at its smart manufacturing production lines. Delta mentors shared insights on the digital transformation of manufacturing, sparking discussions on industrial automation and smart manufacturing. The event also featured two former pearl students now employed at Delta, who shared their career development experiences.
Looking ahead, Delta will continue sponsoring pearl high school students and extending its support through programs such as the "Delta Pearl Class," winter camps, and recruitment seminars, fostering deeper engagement and understanding of Delta’s values. Additionally, Delta will keep offering internships and job opportunities, warmly welcoming pearl students to become part of the Delta family.
