Promoting industrial digital transformation: Delta collaborates to build a large data center in Sichuan
Text by DGC 2025/02

Delta's modular data center solution recently participated in the large data center construction in China, announcing its successful inclusion in Sichuan Province's "Intelligent Transformation and digital transformation ". This project provides 3000 PAI computing power support to the manufacturing and artificial intelligence (AI) industries, making it one of the largest providers of data processing capacity in Sichuan.

This large data industry base adheres to national standards for Class A data centers and international standards for Uptime certification Tier 3+ project construction. It meets industry-leading standards in power supply and distribution, safety levels, seismic grades, floor load-bearing, and green energy efficiency, aiming to achieve a project PUE of less than 1.25 in response to the "dual carbon" strategy.

The first phase of the project includes over 1500 server racks, using Delta's Dynamic series modular data centers with a total of 72 dual-row cabinets and 16 single-row cabinets designed for cold aisle containment.
Delta's modular data center solution has been incorporated into key manufacturing projects in Sichuan Province, China.

Low energy consumption and less space occupation
In today's market, there are many choices for modular data centers. What advantages has Delta's Dynamic series leveraged to successfully win the construction projects of large and important data industry bases? Ensuring high reliability, "low energy consumption" and "rapid deployment" are key advantages that win over users.

To meet the actual needs of data centers for energy-saving and low-carbon solutions, Delta's Dynamic series data centers have significantly upgraded their energy-saving effects through extensive research on space layout, architecture design, and adaptability:
1. Isolating hot and cold air through an airflow suppression system to avoid heat island effects and airflow and cooling losses.
2. Using horizontal side airflow to reduce impedance, increasing cooling efficiency.
3. Direct airflow to heat sources, shortening airflow paths, and providing precise cooling to solve local hotspots.

Additionally, the Dynamic series modular cabinets have a depth of only 1.2 meters, perfectly integrating with the data center floor, reducing footprint, and optimizing space efficiency.
The prefabricated Dynamic modules simplify the engineering workload, as the data center modules only need to be assembled on-site. This significantly reduces the construction period and costs.

Rapid positioning and standardized installation
Due to tight project construction schedules, data center users required timely delivery and rapid installation. The fully factory-prefabricated Dynamic modules only need to be positioned and quickly assembled on-site. Each module and its internal structure follow standardized installation procedures, simplifying the workload, reducing difficulty, and shortening the construction period. This ensures a reduction in construction time by more than 50% and saves about 50% in construction costs.

As Delta's Dynamic series modular data centers are deeply applied in large data industry bases, their energy-saving and low-carbon advantages become increasingly prominent. Through innovative energy-saving designs, they effectively reduce energy consumption and improve energy utilization efficiency. Looking ahead, Delta's modular data centers will continue to promote the industry's move towards low-carbon and intelligent development, further advancing sustainable development.
